Primrose Lodge Care Home

Primrose Lodge provides accommodation and nursing care to up to 48 residents, including younger adults with physical disabilities, those over 65, and people living with dementia. At inspection, 38 people were using the service.

Medicines were not managed safely, with records failing to consistently demonstrate that medicines were administered as prescribed. There were significant shortfalls in medication stock counts, allergy recording, medicated patch application, and guidance for 'when required' medicines. Additionally, an effective system was not fully in place to assess residents' dependency levels and ensure appropriate staffing ratios.
