Prestbury House Care Home

Prestbury House Care Home is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care for older people, supporting 68 people at the time of the assessment. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding staff were safely recruited, well trained and supported, and that people felt safe, happy and involved in decisions about their care.

Some improvements were still needed. Inspectors found not all reportable incidents had been notified to the CQC, some fire safety actions remained outstanding, and oversight of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards required strengthening. The manager was already addressing these areas, and relatives praised the activities on offer and the way staff coordinated care with health professionals.
