Ponsandane

Ponsandane is a care home providing accommodation, nursing and personal care for up to 58 older people, some living with dementia. Around 44 people were living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC found the service continues to be rated good overall.

Inspectors found people were supported by kind, caring staff in sufficient numbers, who responded promptly and understood how to help people who were upset or anxious. People were able to make their own choices, including unwise ones, and control how they spent their time, with a range of activities available. Relatives were pleased with the standard of care provided.
