Penrose Court

Penrose Court is a purpose-built care home that opened in October 2018 and provides nursing and personal care for up to 65 people across three floors, with each floor catering to specific care needs such as dementia and nursing requirements. The service includes leisure facilities including a salon, cinema, pub and café. At inspection, 17 people were living there.

Residents reported being supported by kind and caring staff who met their care and support needs. However, staff did not always have access to care plans and information needed to provide consistently safe, effective and personalised care. Staffing deployment sometimes meant people did not receive timely support, and residents needed more encouragement to pursue hobbies and interests. The service protected people from harm through trained staff who could identify and report safeguarding concerns, and managed potential health and wellbeing risks well.
