Penrose Court

Penrose Court provides accommodation with personal and nursing care for up to 65 people, including those living with dementia, mental health support needs, sensory impairment or physical disability. The CQC found the service had improved and now meets expectations, moving from requires improvement to good, having previously been in breach of regulations around staffing levels and person-centred care.

Inspectors found people were kept safe by trained staff, with risks and medicines managed appropriately, and good infection control. Some care plans and risk assessments lacked detail, and early environmental safety concerns were addressed promptly. Relatives described staff as kind and attentive, particularly around end of life care, and people were supported to make choices and stay involved in activities.
