New Meppershall Care Home

New Meppershall Care Home is a residential care home with nursing provision, supporting up to 81 older people, including those living with dementia, physical disabilities or nursing needs. At the time of the assessment, 66 people lived there. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding people were safeguarded, medicines and risks were well managed, and the environment was safe and clean.

Inspectors noted minor gaps in documenting distress incidents, mental capacity assessments and care plan consistency, but found no impact on people, and the provider acted quickly on feedback. People and relatives said they felt safe, well supported and listened to, with enough staff and opportunities to pursue interests. One person said they would be happy to live there for the rest of their life.
