Pendruccombe House

Pendruccombe House accommodates up to 54 adults across two connected buildings providing residential and nursing care. At inspection, 50 people were living at the service. During a COVID-19 outbreak, the management team demonstrated strong leadership by actively supporting staff to maintain service continuity. The manager covered shifts personally and carefully managed staffing levels to prevent shortages, working alongside both permanent staff who took additional hours and agency workers. According to the manager, "All staff have been great at covering all the shifts as much as possible." The service identified essential caregivers—family members or friends who could visit more frequently during outbreak restrictions—to provide both companionship and additional care and support to residents.
