Pemberley House

Pemberley House provides nursing and residential care for up to 72 people living with physical disabilities or dementia across five separate units. Each unit has ensuite bedrooms, living areas, a kitchenette and outdoor space. At inspection, 56 people were using the service. The home is run by two registered providers: Willowbrook Healthcare Limited and WT UK OPCO 1 Limited, who share equal responsibility for the quality and safety of care.

Inspectors found several areas of concern. Medicines were not always managed safely and people did not always receive their prescribed medicines as intended. Recruitment procedures did not meet regulatory requirements and not all staff had appropriate pre-employment checks in place. Quality assurance measures were not robust enough to identify and prioritise issues effectively, and some records were not kept up to date or consistently maintained. Staff reported a blame culture between managers and other staff. The home's décor was not always well maintained and did not follow dementia-friendly design guidance.
