Pathway House

Pathway House provides residential care and personal support to seven younger adults with autism or learning disabilities, with capacity for up to 12 people. Residents have their own bedrooms and access to shared communal areas including kitchens, lounges, bathrooms and gardens.

However, inspectors found significant concerns with the quality of care and environment. People were not consistently supported according to their personal choices and preferences, with staffing levels limiting their ability to pursue preferred activities. Communication support was inadequate, and residents were not always helped to understand information in ways that worked for them. The home environment lacked dignity and respect, with several areas visibly dirty and inadequate notice systems in place.
