Parkville Care Centre

Parkville Care Centre provides nursing and personal care for up to 94 older people, including those living with dementia, across two buildings. Inspectors found the home overall Good, though a period of management instability had previously led to some decline in practices, including medicine management issues that were being actively resolved by a new manager, deputy manager and clinical lead.

Staff spoke positively about the new leadership and felt well supported, valued and confident to suggest improvements. People living at the home and their relatives described caring, attentive staff who encouraged independence and dignity. Refurbishment work and stronger maintenance oversight were also underway to improve the environment.
