Park House Nursing Home

Park House Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to 38 people aged 65 and over, most of whom have dementia. The service operates across three floors in one adapted building.

The home had implemented effective visiting policies aligned with government guidance, with a dedicated staff member each day supporting visitors with COVID-19 testing, PPE provision, paperwork and safe escort to residents' bedrooms. The registered manager identified PPE stations as a risk and instead provided staff with wipeable waist bags to carry personal protective equipment, reducing potential contamination points. Staff completed training on keeping people safe during the COVID-19 pandemic and followed current government guidance when using PPE. Regular infection prevention and control audits and spot checks ensured staff compliance with infection control procedures.
