Oxford Beaumont

The following is CQC's published account of its assessment, published 30 July 2026. References to “we” mean CQC. It describes findings at that time.

Date of assessment: 22 April to 15 May 2026.

Oxford Beaumont Care Home is a care home providing accommodation with nursing and personal care under a single contractual agreement. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates both the premises and the care provided, and both aspects were reviewed during this inspection.

The service is registered to provide care for up to 49 people. At the time of the inspection, there were 40 people living at the home.

The home was well-led by a registered manager who created a positive person-centred, open and transparent culture within the home. They worked openly and collaboratively with external partners to ensure people were safeguarded and to ensure learning took place from any incidents or concerns raised.

There was a stable, skilled and diverse staff team who enjoyed their work with people, they cared about people and their well-being. Staff were well supported in their work, through their induction, training and regular one to one meeting.

Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment. Diversity was celebrated through shared inclusive practices, communication, values and mutual respect.

The provision of people’s care was based on national guidance and the use of clinical tools to assess and mitigate potential risks to people. Where there were any restrictions upon people’s freedoms for their safety, legal requirements had been met.

People appeared comfortable in the presence of staff and had developed positive relationships with them over time as staff retention was high.

The home was purpose built to ensure people had equal access. A programme of redecoration and refurbishment was planned for a new bathroom and sheltered outdoor space.
