About OSJCT Chestnut Court

OSJCT Chestnut Court is a nursing home in Gloucestershire, providing accommodation and personal care, including support for some people living with dementia. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

OSJCT Chestnut Court provides accommodation and personal care for up to 80 people, some living with dementia. The CQC assessed the service after receiving concerns about care, staffing levels and management, and found it was performing well and meeting expectations overall, rated Good.

Inspectors found safe, well-managed medicines, effective risk management, and staff who were suitably trained and supported. People and relatives felt safe and spoke positively about caring staff, cleanliness and management responsiveness. Some relatives raised concerns about call bell delays, slow telephone answering and out-of-hours access, which they linked to staffing levels, though this did not affect the overall positive judgement.
