Orchardown Rest Home

Orchardown Rest Home provides residential care for up to 17 older people with memory loss, dementia and personal care needs. Most residents are independently mobile, with some using mobility equipment and requiring minimal staff support and prompting. At the time of inspection, 14 people were living at the home.

Staff demonstrated commitment to residents' wellbeing, with relatives describing positive relationships between staff and their family members. The home environment was clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable setting for residents. However, inspectors identified concerns regarding the assessment and review of people's safety and welfare, along with gaps in record-keeping that needed to be addressed to ensure adequate safeguarding and care planning standards.
