Eastbourne Grange provides personal care for older people, including those living with dementia and memory loss, in an adapted residential building. The home supports up to 25 people, with 19 residents at the time of inspection. Care needs have increased significantly, with the service now supporting people with advanced dementia requiring higher levels of support.

However, inspectors identified serious concerns about safety and staffing. Safe recruitment procedures had not been properly maintained, and documentation was missing to verify staff suitability. There were insufficient trained staff to administer medicines, with only one senior carer and the registered manager authorised to do so. No medicine audits or checks were being completed, meaning safe storage issues went unidentified and unaddressed.
