Orchard Nursing

Orchard Nursing accommodates up to 31 people across three floors who require personal and nursing care. At inspection, 30 people were using the service. Staff complete risk assessments with management plans and regularly monitor people's health, safety and wellbeing in line with these plans. The premises and equipment undergo regular safety checks, and effective systems are in place to protect people from abuse. Staff understand their safeguarding responsibilities.

People told inspectors they are treated well and feel safe. Staff administer prescribed medicines at the correct times, and all medication staff are appropriately trained and competent. The home maintains sufficient numbers of suitably skilled and experienced staff.
