Aaron Grange Care Home

Aaron Grange Care Home accommodates up to 68 people across two units in one adapted building. At the time of inspection, 38 people were using the service. Following a recent COVID-19 outbreak, the home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices. Safe visiting procedures were implemented, with visitors required to provide health information, sanitise their hands, and wear face masks. Visitors were kept regularly informed about arrangements and their relatives' wellbeing throughout the outbreak.

Staff received up-to-date infection prevention and control guidance and completed relevant training on the safe use and removal of personal protective equipment. The home maintained adequate PPE stocks and staff used and disposed of equipment safely. New admissions followed strict protocols, with people only admitted after testing negative on a PCR test. The outbreak was managed safely in accordance with government guidance.
