Aaron Grange Care Home in Knowsley provides nursing and residential care across four units, supporting older people, many living with dementia, complex health needs or nursing requirements. The CQC rated the home Requires Improvement overall. Inspectors found breaches relating to safe care and governance, with care plans and risk assessments often incomplete or out of date, and gaps in staff training, supervision and environmental checks.

Despite this, people told inspectors they felt safe and well cared for, and staff were seen to be kind, attentive and respectful. Families praised the compassionate support given, including at the end of life, though some felt staffing levels and activities could improve. Leaders acknowledged the shortfalls and had begun making changes.
