Options Thorpe House

Options Thorpe House provides accommodation and personal care for ten adults with learning disabilities, autism, and complex health needs across nine flats over two floors. The service is located in a large building with its own grounds and accessible gardens, and includes a separate sensory room. Each person has their own bathroom, with eight single occupancy flats and one shared flat available.

Staff reported concerns about low staffing levels and their impact on morale. While the provider had recently implemented recruitment and retention measures, it was too early to assess their effectiveness. Training completion in diagnosis-specific subjects was found to be low in some areas. The home was deemed safe for residents and staff, with risks appropriately assessed to enable people to live safely while taking acceptable risks.
