Okeley Care Home

This residential care home provides personal care for up to 84 people aged 65 and over, with the majority living with dementia. The purpose-built facility spans three floors and was home to 82 residents at the time of inspection. People and their relatives were very positive about the service, offering good feedback about their experiences.

Staff followed safeguarding policies and procedures to keep people safe, with risks identified and managed to prevent unsafe care. Medicine arrangements ensured people received their prescribed medications correctly, and infection prevention and control measures were in place to protect residents. The service maintained sufficient staffing levels to meet people's needs, with safe recruitment practices and suitable checks undertaken to ensure appropriate staff were employed to care for residents.
