Oaktree Care Home

Oaktree Care Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 78 people across two floors. The ground floor, Bluebell, supports those requiring nursing care, while the upper floor accommodates people living with dementia across two units: Primrose for those needing nursing care and Snowdrop for those who do not. At the time of inspection, 60 people were resident at the home.

Staffing levels have improved since the previous inspection, though the service continues to rely heavily on agency staff, which impacts care delivery. Residents and relatives reported that care quality varies depending on whether regular or agency staff are on duty. Many people spend considerable time in their bedrooms, with staff interactions mainly occurring during personal care or meals. Although daily activities are available, inspectors observed limited social engagement beyond essential care tasks.
