Oaklands Nursing Home

Oaklands Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 50 older people. At inspection, 46 people were using the service. Medicines are managed safely and infection prevention and control processes protect people from infections. Staff are consistent and demonstrate good understanding of resident care needs. Risk assessments are completed and appropriate measures put in place to reduce identified risks.

People report feeling safe and are supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives. Staff understand safeguarding responsibilities and there are systems to identify when people need protection. Staff receive regular training and supervision, reporting they feel supported. People are supported to maintain their health and wellbeing through least restrictive practices that support their best interests.
