About Oakdown House

Oakdown House is a residential care home in East Sussex, providing accommodation and personal care for people with learning disabilities and associated health conditions. The findings below set out what CQC inspectors observed during their most recent visit.

Oakdown House accommodates up to 45 people with learning disabilities and associated health conditions including diabetes and epilepsy across four buildings on the same site. At inspection, 42 people were living at the home, with three currently receiving hospital care. The service provides residential accommodation and personal care tailored to residents' needs.

Following the inspection, concerns were raised about infection control and prevention measures. Inspectors reviewed evidence and confirmed that Infection Prevention Control practices were being properly followed at the service.
