Oakhaven Care Home

Oakhaven Care Home provides personal care to up to 24 residents aged 65 and over, some living with dementia. Residents and their relatives consistently reported feeling safe, supported by staff who knew them well and with whom they had developed good working relationships. The home deployed sufficient staff to meet people's needs, maintained documentation of accidents and incidents with preventative action plans, and ensured staff received safeguarding training to identify and report concerns appropriately.

The service managed medicines safely through trained and assessed staff, and discussed consent with residents and relatives, with clear documentation in care plans. Staff, residents and relatives spoke positively about the registered manager, describing them as open, honest, caring and approachable. The home operated with a clear management system in place.
