Oak Hall Care Home

Oak Hall Care Home provides nursing care for up to 55 older people with varying health needs including frailty, Parkinson's disease, and dementia. At the time of inspection, 19 residents were living at the service. Residents reported feeling safe and satisfied with staffing levels.

Medicines were managed safely and effectively, with infection control procedures consistently followed to prevent infection spread.

Staff recruitment processes ensured suitable candidates with appropriate values were selected, with thorough checks on previous experience and conduct. All staff received initial training and regular safeguarding refreshers, understanding procedures for raising concerns. New staff completed induction periods working alongside experienced colleagues until confident in their roles.

The home supported residents' independence through individualized risk assessments and person-centered care that balanced safety with autonomy. The service collaborated positively with other health professionals to meet residents' diverse needs.
