Moorlands Lodge Care Home

This residential care home provides nursing and personal care to up to 106 people aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 86 people were using the service, which operates across three floors with one wing specialising in dementia care. Staff ensured people were safe and managed medicines appropriately, following infection control procedures and recording accidents to implement preventative measures. The home had sufficient staffing to meet people's needs.

People received support with hydration and nutrition, and the building was adapted to meet individual requirements. Staff supported residents to make choices about their lives and encouraged independence. One inspector noted that people were supported by kind and caring staff who upheld their dignity and enabled maximum control over daily life.
