Norley Hall Care Home

Norley Hall Care Home accommodates up to 50 older adults and people living with dementia across two floors in its own grounds on the outskirts of Wigan. At inspection, 45 residents were living at the home. The service maintains contact between residents and families through a booking system that staggers visitor times, a service portal for private room access, mobile calls, iPads, Zoom meetings, and window visits.

The home provides strong support for residents' wellbeing, including extra activities and entertainment such as outdoor performances to boost morale. Staff have assessed how personal protective equipment might cause fear or anxiety, particularly for residents with limited mental capacity, and put measures in place to address these concerns. Cleaning staff follow detailed schedules with specified frequencies for high-touch areas, with records demonstrating consistent compliance with these protocols.
