Newlands Nursing & Residential Home

Newlands Nursing and Residential Home in Heaton Moor, Stockport accommodates up to 72 people across four separate units, each providing either residential or nursing care. The home is equipped with aids and adaptations throughout to support residents' needs. At inspection, 46 people were living at the home.

Staff receive training in infection control and safeguarding, with competency assessments in place. The service has established risk assessments and investigates accidents and incidents to learn lessons and reduce future risk. Recruitment checks are completed and staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs. The registered manager has positively influenced staff morale, with staff feeling supported and confident in raising concerns. When complaints are made, the management team investigates and takes action to address them.
