Hilltop Court Nursing Home

This residential care home supports up to 50 older people, including those living with dementia, across two floors with adapted facilities. At inspection, 42 people were using the service. Staff demonstrated positive and caring interactions with residents, seeking consent before providing care and showing understanding of people's preferences. However, inspectors found that people were not always supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives, and staff did not consistently support them in the least restrictive way possible. The entire management team had changed since the last inspection, creating inconsistencies that affected improvements. While the provider had introduced new quality monitoring systems, these were still being embedded and existing systems had failed to identify ongoing shortfalls identified during the inspection.
