New Victoria Nursing Home

New Victoria Nursing Home provides nursing care for up to 30 older people and younger adults, and 27 people were living there at the time of the assessment. The CQC found the service required improvement, remaining in breach of regulations covering safe management of medicines and risk, and good governance, as audits were not effective at identifying or addressing problems. Some areas of the home needed refurbishment and better cleaning.

Inspectors found consistent, kind staff who knew people well, supported them effectively, and managed medicines according to individual preferences. People and staff spoke positively about the registered manager, describing them as approachable and responsive to concerns. Some residents were critical of the food, though all said there was plenty available.
