Glenroyd

Glenroyd is a residential care home with nursing, supporting adults over and under 65, including people living with dementia and physical disabilities. Around 64 people were living there when inspectors assessed the service, which is now rated Requires Improvement overall, though previous breaches around safe care and staffing have been resolved.

The CQC found people felt safe, valued and well cared for, describing staff as kind and attentive, with good activities and family involvement. However, governance remained inconsistent, with gaps in oversight and documentation leading to a breach relating to well-led practice, despite generally strong, transparent leadership and a supportive staff culture.
