Acorn Nursing Home

Acorn Nursing Home supports up to 40 people over 65 with varying physical and mental health needs, currently caring for 35 residents across three floors with lift and stair access. The home features a large kitchen and laundry on the ground floor, along with communal areas including two rooms being redecorated for residents' use.

Inspectors identified concerns around record-keeping and documentation. Some records and audits were not dated, and inconsistencies were found in the accuracy of records supporting the implementation of the Mental Capacity Act. The service was given recommendations to address these issues, particularly regarding ensuring records are updated to reflect people's current circumstances.
