Nesfield Lodge

Nesfield Lodge provides personal and nursing care for up to 44 people aged 65 and over in a purpose-built, two-storey building. At inspection, 40 people were living there. Residents reported feeling safe and content, with one person stating, "I like it here, am happy here." Relatives were similarly positive, describing "a happy atmosphere" and expressing satisfaction with the care and support provided.

The home maintained strong safety and infection control standards, with cleaning records demonstrating good hygiene practices. Building and equipment checks were current, and various areas were undergoing renovation. Safeguarding systems were in place to protect people from abuse, and medicines were managed safely. Staffing levels were adequate to meet residents' needs, with appropriate recruitment practices. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control in their lives, with staff providing care in the least restrictive way possible and in line with residents' best interests.
