Carlton House

Carlton House accommodates up to 16 people with learning disabilities in a purpose-built facility in Leeds, comprising a main house and an annex. At inspection, 14 people were residing there. The home presented as clean and safe, with people appearing well cared for. Staff had clear accountability for cleaning responsibilities, and improvements in cleanliness and hygiene were evident, with the building odour-free and well maintained.

Governance systems had strengthened since the previous inspection, with previously identified issues resolved. Infection control procedures were assessed and found to be appropriate. Stakeholders and relatives provided positive feedback about the service. Overall, inspectors were assured that suitable systems were in place to keep people safe.
