Neptune House

Neptune House, in Kent, is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 15 people with learning disabilities and autistic people. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding nine breaches of regulations covering risk and medicines management, staffing, recruitment, safeguarding, dignity and consent. Inspectors found audio and video monitoring was used in bedrooms without proper consent or best interests records, and some safeguarding concerns had not been reported appropriately.

Despite this, inspectors observed kind, attentive staff who knew people well and supported them to take part in activities and community life. People living at the home said they were happy, and relatives spoke positively about staff and management. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address the shortfalls identified.
