This residential care home provides personal and nursing care to 20 people aged 65 and over living with dementia in one adapted building. The manager has developed risk assessments and safety systems, regularly reviewed as guidance evolved. During the inspection period, the home had implemented creative visiting arrangements, including a garden pod with screening to allow relatives to visit safely while maintaining social distancing.

Plans were in place to move visits indoors during colder months. The manager recognised the risk of isolation and employed an activities coordinator to support residents' wellbeing and maintain community links. Special arrangements were made to ensure people receiving end of life care could have visitors.
