Mountside Care Home

Mountside Residential Care Home supports up to 52 people, with 40 residents at the time of inspection. The service cares for older and younger people with physical disabilities and dementia. Governance systems have improved and are being used consistently to enhance the service, though some recurring issues remain unresolved, including procedures for handwritten medicines and timely complaint responses.

Staff are trained to recognise signs of abuse and understand how to support people safely. Residents have individualised care plans and risk assessments in place to promote their safety and wellbeing. The home is clean, well-maintained and comfortable, with sufficient staffing to meet people's needs. Safe recruitment practices are followed, and accidents and incidents are recorded with lessons learned to prevent recurrence.
