Mount Olivet Nursing Home

Mount Olivet Nursing Home provides nursing and personal care for up to 30 people, specialising in dementia care, with 20 people living there at the time of assessment. The overall rating has improved from requires improvement to good. Inspectors found the service was no longer breaching regulations on safe care, though a breach of good governance continued and a new breach around consent to care and treatment was identified.

People and relatives spoke warmly of kind, attentive staff and felt safe and well looked after. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed, and people knew how to raise concerns or complaints. Despite this positive experience, inspectors found some elements of care fell short of expected standards, particularly in leadership and governance.
