Moulsham Home

Moulsham Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 23 people with learning disabilities and dementia, with 22 residents at the time of inspection. The home maintains a safe, homely environment with well-equipped bedrooms that residents have personalised to their preferences. Staff support people to make choices and maintain independence, promoting maximum control over their daily lives and using the least restrictive approaches possible.

However, inspectors found concerns with the provider's oversight and governance systems. Improvements were needed to ensure safe care delivery, and recruitment practices required strengthening. The service was not consistently meeting expected standards for supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people, with particular gaps identified in how the organisation managed its systems and safeguarding responsibilities.
