Moorhead Rest Home

Moorhead Rest Home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 27 adults living with dementia, physical disabilities and sensory impairments. At the time of the assessment, 10 people lived at the home. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, having previously placed it in Special Measures, and the home is no longer in that category.

Inspectors found continued shortfalls around safe care, staff recruitment checks and governance, including incomplete incident analysis and gaps in medicines training. However, staff were found to be kind and attentive, the environment had improved significantly, and people and relatives spoke positively about care, food and staff, describing a warm, respectful atmosphere.
