Moorfield House

Moorfield House provides personal and nursing care to up to 35 people aged 18 and over, including those living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 26 people were using the service. Staff had made improvements to care and support plans since the previous inspection, and people were happy with the care provided and enjoyed living at the service.

However, care records did not consistently demonstrate that people received safe and suitable diets and fluids matching their assessed needs, or that adequate monitoring was in place for those at risk of choking. An effective quality assurance system remained incomplete, with audits not consistently monitoring choking-related risks. Care records required review to ensure all information was accurate and up to date.
