About Kenton Hall Nursing Home

Kenton Hall Nursing Home is a nursing home in Newcastle upon Tyne, providing personal and nursing care, including for people living with dementia. Further details on the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Kenton Hall Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care for up to 60 people, including those living with dementia, across two floors with communal lounges, dining areas and a garden. At the time of the inspection, 50 people lived there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, prompted partly by concerns about culture, staffing and governance, none of which proved to be major issues.

Inspectors found a positive, person-centred culture, safe medicines management and good learning from incidents. Staffing levels were not always ideal, with agency staff less familiar to residents than permanent staff, though recruitment was underway. People felt safe, treated with dignity, and spoke warmly of the management team.
