Milldene Nursing Home

During the inspection, visitors underwent temperature checks and answered health-related questions before entry, with ample PPE and handwashing facilities available throughout. The registered manager and staff worked additional hours to ensure people's needs were met during the outbreak period.

The manager demonstrated responsiveness to feedback and worked effectively with external partners including public health teams and commissioning services. Understanding the potential negative impact of lockdown on residents' wellbeing, they took proactive steps to mitigate this, including repurposing areas of the home to maintain social distancing guidance and creating a new outdoor meeting space for residents to use.
