Melton House

Melton House, in Newcastle upon Tyne, is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care for up to 58 older people, some living with dementia. The CQC rated the service outstanding overall, with an outstanding finding for caring and well-led. Inspectors found a well-maintained, welcoming environment, person-centred care plans, safe medicines management and a strong understanding of safeguarding and mental capacity principles.

Feedback from people and relatives was overwhelmingly positive, describing staff as kind, respectful and deeply committed. Inspectors found people were fully involved in planning their care and had extensive access to meaningful activities. Management were praised for excellent oversight and quality assurance systems, with no significant shortfalls identified.
