Mereside Care Home

Mereside Care Home accommodates up to 15 people with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, with 11 residents at the time of inspection. During a COVID-19 outbreak that prevented family visits and day centre attendance, staff arranged regular video calls to help people maintain contact with family and friends. The home supported residents to understand pandemic restrictions through individual communication aids, ensuring people with varying communication needs could comprehend changes to social distancing, visitor policies, and personal protective equipment use.
