Holly House Care Home

Holly House provides personal care for up to 9 working-age adults living with dementia and mental health conditions. At the time of inspection, all 9 places were occupied. The service has safeguarding systems in place, and staff understand the risks to people and follow assessments to meet their needs. People felt safe and were supported by sufficient staff numbers who knew how to protect them from harm. Medicines were administered safely and as prescribed, and staff sought consent before providing care while considering individual communication needs.

However, care plan reviews lacked involvement from people, their relatives and representatives. For people who lacked capacity, it was not always clear how they or their representative had been involved in decision-making. Staff spoke positively about working for the provider.
