Melba Lodge Limited

Melba Lodge provides accommodation and personal care for up to four people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, or autism. At the time of inspection, four people were using the service. The home supports residents to live meaningful lives with control, choice, and independence through person-centred care planning and individualised goal-setting that increases confidence and autonomy. People told inspectors they felt safe at the home, and staff demonstrated understanding of safeguarding and whistleblowing procedures. However, improvements were needed in medicine management practices and the effectiveness of quality assurance systems to identify areas for development. The provider was recommended to consider best practice guidance on managing medicines and use nationally recognised tools when assessing people's needs.
