Marlfield Care Home With Nursing

Marlfield Care Home with Nursing provides care for up to 74 people and is reconfiguring to focus on supporting those living with dementia. The purpose-built facility spans two floors with lift access, offering bedrooms with ensuites and shared communal spaces including lounges, dining rooms, and a garden. Additional amenities include a hairdressing salon and pub for residents' use. At the time of inspection, the home was providing personal care to 35 people.

The service demonstrated good practice in maintaining safe visiting arrangements during lockdowns, having installed an external visiting pod and an electronic temperature door access system that automatically screened visitors' temperatures. Staff ensured plentiful PPE supplies were available and supported residents to maintain contact with families throughout the restrictions.
