Bentley Lodge Care Home

Bentley Lodge Care Home is a nursing home providing care for up to 56 younger and older people, including those living with dementia, a physical disability or a sensory impairment. The CQC found the service was well led by an experienced registered manager, supported by a newly recruited clinical lead with strong dementia expertise. Staffing levels were sufficient, and an open culture meant issues raised by people, relatives or staff were listened to and acted on.

Inspectors found staff to be kind, compassionate and responsive, with care planned around people's individual needs and preferences. People and relatives spoke positively about the care received and felt safe. Minor areas for improvement were identified, including some staff's spoken English and lunchtime staff deployment, which the manager was already addressing.
