Madelayne Court

Madelayne Court provides personal care for up to 112 older people with physical or sensory impairments and people with dementia. At inspection, 110 people were living at the service. Overall, residents were satisfied, though inspectors received mixed feedback about staff availability and the quality and choice of meals. The provider was recommended to review staffing levels, expand meal options while transitioning to a new supplier, and address concerns about social isolation among residents.

Risk management was effective, with measures in place to keep people safe while maintaining their freedom and independence. Staff were safely recruited, appropriately trained, and competent to meet people's needs. Staff worked well with external professionals to support residents' physical and emotional wellbeing. Residents were supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches possible in line with service policies.
