Lyle House

Lyle House provides personal care to up to 70 older people and those with dementia in one adapted building. At inspection, 69 people were using the service. Staff respected people's privacy and dignity, supporting their independence where possible, and people and their relatives felt safe and well cared for. The home accommodated people's religious and cultural needs and supported them to have maximum choice and control of their lives. Infection control processes were effective in minimising infection risk, and incidents and accidents were well managed and investigated.

However, staffing levels were not always sufficiently managed to cover shortfalls promptly. Staff were not always knowledgeable about where to escalate safeguarding concerns appropriately. Relatives also felt that communications with the home could be improved.
