Lugano Residence for the Elderly

This care home provides accommodation and support for up to 27 older people, including those living with dementia, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments. At the time of inspection, 23 people were resident at the service.

The home demonstrated effective infection prevention and control measures, with risk assessments completed for both residents and staff in higher risk groups, with appropriate actions taken to mitigate identified risks. The service made effective use of isolation, cohorting, and zoning strategies, and maintained regularly updated infection prevention and control policies, including specific Covid-19 protocols.
